![]() ![]() We grow everything organikally, the K is for know your farmer and know your source. He was an amazing inspiration and committed his life to creating a better world. We would like to livicate (not dedicate) this year to our dear friend Jahmez who passed away in September. Huge thanks to everyone who has helped support the organic agriculture movement and progress towards a better world. ![]() We are grateful for all the abundance and another year of gardening. We lucked out and had a very dry and warm October, which was critical to finish some of the late planted beans and corn. Planting everything a little late we knew it was going to be a push to collect and clean all the seeds we needed before the rains came back in full force. We had a productive season in the garden. Then like a switch, solstice came, it was summer and the rain stopped. The slower start to planting was appreciated by us since we had a little more to juggle this year. It rained so much we were about one month behind our “normal” planting schedule, but we knew that the land and watersheds needed the extra fill up. Spring seemed to last forever here in western Oregon, with enough intermittent rain to not irrigate till almost July. ![]() The process of life is constantly amazing us. We welcomed a baby girl named Calypsa into the world early March! She was born at home and healthy, which was as much as we could hope for. 2022 was an exciting and difficult year of new changes and challenges for us. Welcome to 2023 and another year of gardening. ![]()
